Van Nuys General Contractor ADU & Remodeling LLC is a licensed California contractor — CSLB License #1160251. We design, permit and build ADUs, garage conversions, home additions, kitchens, bathrooms and whole-home remodels across the San Fernando Valley.
The license matters because it is the accountability layer between you and whoever works on your home: it means bonding, state oversight, and a contract you can enforce. You can verify our license in about two minutes on the California Contractors State License Board website, and we encourage you to do exactly that before hiring us or anyone else.
Why homeowners call us
Hiring a contractor in the Valley is genuinely hard. The good ones are booked and don't advertise much. The ones who chase you hardest are often the ones you should avoid. And unless you do this for a living, it's difficult to tell the difference from a website and a phone call.
Most homeowners we hear from have the same three questions: is my project even possible on my lot, what should it realistically cost, and who can I trust to do it? How we work
You tell us about your project — the type of work, your city, and roughly when you'd like to start. We walk the property, talk through what's realistic, and give you a written free estimate. If the numbers work for you, we pull the permits and build it, with city inspections at every phase through final sign-off.
You're never obligated by an estimate. And we'd rather tell you your project isn't feasible than take a deposit and figure it out later — that honesty is why most of our work comes from referrals.

Staying local is deliberate. Valley housing stock has its own quirks — mid-century construction, LADBS permitting, lots that don't always match the plans — and a crew that works here every week knows where the surprises hide before the walls are open.
