This Privacy Policy explains what information Van Nuys General Contractor ADU & Remodeling LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects when you visit www.vannuysgeneralcontractor.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are a licensed California general contractor, CSLB License #1160251, based in Van Nuys, California.
The short version
We collect the information you choose to send us through our contact form or by phone or email, plus standard website analytics. We use it to respond to you, prepare estimates, and run our business. We do not sell your personal information. We do not run advertising pixels on this site, and we do not collect payment information here.
Information you give us
When you submit our contact form, we ask for your name, email address, and a description of your project. You may also choose to provide your phone number, your city, and the type of project you are planning. If you call or email us instead, we receive whatever information you include in that message.
If we move forward with a project, we may collect additional information as a normal part of the work — for example your property address, details about the property, and documents needed for permits. That information is collected outside this website, and any construction project is governed by a separate written agreement.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this site collects some technical information automatically when you visit:
- Google Analytics 4. We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site. It sets cookies and collects information such as your approximate location (derived from IP address), device and browser type, pages viewed, and referring site. We also record two interaction events: when someone taps a phone-number link, and when someone submits the contact form. These events record that the action happened — they do not send us the contents of your form through Analytics.
- Vercel Analytics. Our host provides aggregated, privacy-focused traffic measurement (page views and performance). It is designed not to identify individual visitors.
- Hosting logs. Our host, Vercel, processes standard server request data — including IP address and user agent — to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Google Maps. Our footer embeds a Google map showing our office location. When that map loads, Google may set cookies and receive information about your visit under Google's own privacy policy.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site uses them for analytics and for the embedded Google map described above. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though analytics will not count your visit. Most browsers also offer a "Do Not Track" signal — there is no common industry standard for responding to it, and we do not currently respond to it.

- People needed to do your project. If you hire us, we may share relevant details with employees, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, designers, or permitting agencies as necessary to plan, permit, and complete the work.
- When the law requires it. To comply with a law, subpoena, or government request, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
- Business transfer. If our business is sold or reorganized, information may transfer as part of that transaction.
Calls, texts, and email
When you give us your phone number or email address, you are asking us to contact you about your inquiry, and you agree that we may reach you by phone, text message, or email about your project. Message and data rates may apply. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time by replying STOP to a text, or by calling or emailing us using the details below, and we will honor that request.
How long we keep information
We keep contact-form submissions and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond and to maintain normal business records. Project records are kept longer, because construction, licensing, tax, and warranty matters can require records for years after a job is finished. You can ask us to delete information we are not required to keep.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information, including serving this site over HTTPS and keeping credentials for our email and hosting systems private. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information — such as Social Security numbers, bank account details, or card numbers — through the contact form. We never ask for payment information through this website.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it, subject to records we are legally required to keep. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will not discriminate against you for making one.
California residents. California law gives residents rights regarding personal information, including rights to know, delete, and correct, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Children
This website is meant for adults arranging construction work. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Our pages sometimes link to outside resources such as government agencies and reference sites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
